Thanks so much for making the lard class with Deb available in our area. I found the class to be most interesting and I feel inspired to render lard on my own. It was great fun to learn about its versatility and at the same time learn the importance of making your own, versus using commercially made.

Lillian left her home and community in Maine to take care of our dear friend, Betty, 24/7 during the last four months of her earthly journey. It was a task taken on by an Angel. She was willing to stand, sit or lay side by side with Betty, as she came to accept the finality of her life and the leaving of her loved ones.

Denial, anger and/or the acceptance are all part of the journey from this life to the next; all shared with the Caregiver. What a job Lillian took on, often becoming a target of all the final emotions. Negotiating the way with family and friends and fighting for those needs that made Betty’s final days comfortable. As she has with other Caregiving opportunities, she was strong in her convictions; offering compassion in her care, in order to enable a peaceful passing.

Being a Caregiver is a God given gift and shall be rewarded accordingly. Lillian is such a Caregiver.
